The first thing you should know about creating maps is that it takes time and skill to produce a quality map. We've already setup most of the tools you'll need with great support documents and easy-to-follow videos.

To qualify as a map maker, you'll need to meet the following requirements:

  • Must be 18 or older

  • Basic Raster Image Software (Photoshop or other)
  • Google Earth Software (free)

What level of skill is needed?

Anyone seeking to become a developer should be proficient enough in Adobe Illustrator to draw vector maps of acceptable quality as displayed below.

The developer should be confident in his/her abilities to draw smooth, even and clean lines and shapes. The style of map is not as important

How Much Money?

Map Developers make 50% of sales after Apple's cut.

What kind of maps?

Generally speaking, developers should create maps that will be useful to many people. Please keep in mind that PacMaps applications are in English only right now.

Usually, we like to get to know our developers and the maps you plan on creating with us. We will probably contact you, ask you what you plan on working, and answer any questions you have.

Already have the map made?

If you already have a map made, you can create a non-GPS enabled version of your map. To publish and use the map, we will need written permission from the copyright owner.
